Show or hide a part

Toggle an existing scene object for a product option value.

Use visibility when the geometry already exists in the root model and an option determines whether it should be shown—for example, With Arms versus No Arms.

Before you edit

The revision must already contain a visibility binding whose target resolves to the intended scene node. The current Editor edits existing visibility bindings; it does not create a new one from the mappings panel.

Edit visibility

  1. Open Option → Scene Bindings.
  2. Find the option value and target node.
  3. Set Visible on or off.
  4. Activate the option value in preview.
  5. Switch to the competing value and confirm the previous state is removed.
  6. Save the visual bindings.

Use visibility for lightweight alternatives already present in the scene. For large mutually exclusive assemblies, a replacement action avoids loading all geometry in the root model.

Verify

Check shadows, collision/picking behavior, and child nodes as well as pixels. Reload after save, then confirm the published runtime response targets the expected key.
